The seats of the subway car were repurposed from old school desks and attached to wooden blocks. The supports of the walls were created using styrafoam made to resemble destroyed bricks.

PVC pipe that was spray painted silver was used as both support and to reinforce the idea of the subway car.

Modular foam core pieces were used to create the curve of the subway car roof. The walls and roof styrafoam pieces fit into the curved foamcore and could be easily assembled and disassembled.

The structure was created using strofoam sheets because they are light weighted and could easily be transported to the venue.

This life sized subway car was created for the Year End show for Sheridan College Visual Merchandising Arts program. The structure covers an area of 6x12ft and stands at around 10ft tall. The theme for the show surrounded rebirth in a post-apocalyptic world. My team built our vignette based on North America's subway system and what we invisioned it would be in a world where cities are overgrown.
